Who is trauma awareness workshops suited to?

​

Any workplace that have staff identifing, as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait  Islander people and  to which staff have noticed a decrease in the morale within the workplace, and or

possible signs of Lateral Violence.

​

What are the potential negative effects of lateral violence in a workplace?

The outcomes of this workshop hinge on the extent to which individuals are willing to engage in candid, vulnerable, and authentic self-assessment. It aims to support personal development by creating a safe space for participants to delve into their innermost vulnerabilities.

Emphasizing self-awareness, the workshop encourages individuals to focus on areas within their control, fostering a deeper understanding of where to channel their energies. By doing so, participants can collectively contribute to cultivating a harmonious work environment. As a team, each member bears the responsibility of the atmosphere they contribute to the collective dynamic.

The desired outcome for this workshop:

  • Staff to have knowledge on what intergenerational trauma can look like within us and what negative impacts it can have on those around us

  • Shine light on lateral violence and how it can present within a workplace, and what we can do as individuals to minimise it.

  • Hold space for staff to feel supported, heard, and empowered

  • Support the further development of a harmonious workplace

  • Staff to have access to a self-reflection tool

  • Staff to have a clear awareness of the workplace HR processes (bullying)

Kindly take note

​

  • Group sizes will solely be limited to a maximum of 12 participants to maintain optimal engagement and energy levels.

  • Prior to the workshop, participants must engage in individual sessions with me as part of the essential support structure for the workshop.

  • No magical solution exists to instantly erase all workplace worries, wounds, and struggles. It is through your team's dedication, passion, determination, vulnerability, and consistent self-reflection that genuine change can manifest. By heightening awareness of their own wounds and understanding the underlying reasons, they can significantly contribute to workplace growth.

  • It is recommended that staff seek additional support after the workshop, such as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), counseling, or other forms of therapy, as this workshop may unearth deep-seated emotional issues.

How do we get started? 

 

  1. Send an email to huntthreads@gmail.com with the subject "Truma Workshop Workplace."

  2. Expect a follow-up within a week, where you will receive a complimentary phone call to discuss your workplace requirements and our capacity to meet them.

  3. Provide staff names and email addresses of participants attending the workshop to coordinate completion of all necessary intake forms. These forms should be signed, completed, and returned via email, with scheduling for one-on-one sessions included.

  4. Once every participant has attended their individual one-on-one sessions, we will be ready to attend to the workshop.
